With the release of IE7 beta, I tested my new site in it. I found that it did an almost perfect job. The most noticeable problem was that the header for the page was getting clipped about half way down. I reduced it to a simple problem with negative margins and floating. I had my
h1
inside my content and clipping was caused by the content floating with the
h1
having negative margins to push it outside the box of the float. The clipping does not occur when using a different (and more appropriate method) such as
relative
positioning and using
top
and
left
.

[…]Amar and I took a visit down to Silicon Valley to meet with John Lilly and Chris Beard from Mozilla to get their thoughts on it. We all agreed that it’s in the user’s best interest to have one common icon to represent RSS and RSS-related features in a browser. […] […]I’m excited to announce that we’re adopting the icon used in Firefox.

IE, Mozilla, and Opera agree to make changes to make them more secure and trustworthy

IE, Mozilla, and Opera agree to make changes to make them more secure and trustworthy. They have agreed to changing the color of the address bar to green for when visiting websites that are trustworthy. Pop-up windows will no longer be able to get rid of the address bar and status bar this will allow people to more easier check which website the page is from. Another reason why should get out of the habit of opening Javascript pop-up windows.
