- Seamus (pronounced Sha-mus) is a Gaelic name with an english translation James. Seamus means “one who trips on his own heels”—go figure.
- “Emu ass” is what can be spelled by rearranging the letters.
- Seamus was not in the top 1000 names parents named their childern in the 80’s; in 2004, it was ranked at 783. Look only one other person is allowed to have my name!
- The worst insult towards my name was, “shave man Seamus.” I was insulted. I was insulted that they couldn’t put more thought into a better insult. My own sister beat them with, “Seamus the anus,” that at least made me laugh.
- It is slang for a private detective.
