A recent message I received via the contact form:
your site is disgusting
worst site ever… slow.. wide(wtf) - and i’ve never complained about a site before.. id rather eat my own face then come back here.
…and I have never complained about a lack of capitalization. I am just kidding about the last part; it was too easy. Actually I am glad the person felt such a reaction he or she needed to locate my contact form to tell me about the emotional reaction resulting from using this site. Awesome.
Admittedly, my very first reaction was a mix of humor and disappointed. I could have said a smart ass comment but it loses its punch when not delivered in person and there is no real constructive purpose to it.
If the author does happen to read this (since the author did not leave a real name or email address), I have one request I want the author to answer:
Tell me your story—account, feelings, narrative, sensations—about your browsing journey with this site: preamble of your browsing, how and why you came to the site, your journey through this site, and finally the immediate and long term departure from this site.
for me, ur site has been a source of inspiration. i’m talking more of the design. different, new - by trying new ways to put the content on page.
i do not remember how i came to moronicbajebus but ur still in my bookmarks.

thanx, seamus,
baa.montreal.i’mFrench.
I do like the design and it is fun, but I find it a little too much to take in whilst browsing content… like there’s just too much to be looking at.
I totally agree Carly.
I’m still insanly jealous of ‘ya skillz’ though!
Hello there, firstly, I do find your design to be very dynamic, “electric” and thoroughly a radical departure from the norm of websites. On the otherside, and the main reason I write, is because I have to confess (and apologise for) that I found it quite difficult to read the text and know where I was going within it.
I found the site through a link and thought, blimey, this is different! However on trying to navigate I couldn’t read the labels - my eyesight isn’t wonderful, I admit, and I found some headers off the screen.
However, on the whole it is an excellent example of the changing nature of web design.
Truth be told, your colors are garish, but I mostly dig your site design. Your type treatment and information architecture are superb. Keep up the good work!
What a moron. I’m toying with site redesign and your site is in my browser bookmarks as a source of inspiration and design ideas. Great stuff. I actually used your page to learn css rollovers, so that’s how I made my way over. Good stuff, seriously.
‘ello!
I remember coming across our site at least two or three years ago, when I first began teaching myself web design. I believe i found your site somehow through Stu Nicholls’ CSS play, probably while I was searching for examples of CSS or for a helpful site like his.
When i first found your site i was simply amazed at the extent of which you were able to produce such a dynamic and creative layout through only CSS.
I decided to pick apart your coding (its how i learn), and I have since been able to manipulate web pages to another degree. Sites like yours and Stu’s are excellent resources.
As far as i can tell the color scheme and layout are probably just your own style. The navi and text layout are also most likely representative of the way you organize things personally.
So to judge those aspects as negative or positive is simply an opinion of taste. I must say that your site was/still is definitely revolutionary in terms of design.
Unfortunately there are too many people out there who think they know about practicality, technicality and asthetics and will judge according to their own opinions. WHATEVER you rule. keep it up.
